How to create a UPI QR code

    1. Enter your UPI IDIt looks like yourname@okaxis or 98xxxxxx10@ybl. You will find it on the profile or settings screen of your UPI app.
    2. Add the payee nameUse the name on your bank account or your shop name, for example "Sharma General Store".
    3. Add an amount only if you need oneLeave it empty for a shop counter. Fill it in for a fixed fee, a product or one invoice.
    4. Test with ₹1, then printScan with a different phone, check the name your app shows, and send ₹1. Confirm that it reached your bank account before you print.

One code for every UPI app

A UPI QR code holds a standard payment link, so it is not tied to one company. The same code opens in Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, WhatsApp Pay and banking apps with UPI. People searching for a PhonePe, GPay, Paytm or BHIM QR code generator can use this one: your customer's app does not need to match yours.

The link inside the code looks like this:

    upi://pay?pa=sharmastore@okaxis&pn=Sharma%20General%20Store&cu=INR

Because your details sit inside the code, it never expires and there is no server that can switch it off. It keeps working as long as your UPI ID stays active. PloraKit is an independent tool and is not connected to NPCI or to any of these apps.

One invoiceThe invoice totalThe invoice number
A product with one priceThe priceThe product name

A fixed amount saves your customer from typing and avoids underpayment, but you need a new code for each amount. For anything that varies, leave it empty. When you need many codes, such as one per student, the bulk QR code generator can build them from a spreadsheet of finished UPI links, with "Each row is" set to Text.

Where to find your UPI ID

Open your UPI app and go to your profile. The ID ends in a handle such as @okaxis, @okhdfcbank, @ybl or @paytm. If you have several, choose the one linked to the account where you want the money.

Only have a bank account number? A UPI QR code needs a UPI ID. Register the account in any UPI app or your bank's app and it will give you one, then use that ID here. Do not print your account number on the code.

Banks can apply different limits and rules to personal and merchant UPI IDs. If your shop handles many payments, ask your bank about a merchant ID. It works in this generator too.

Click Print UPI Scan & Pay stand to get a PDF that folds into a free counter stand, with your shop name and UPI ID printed under the code. For a table sticker or wall sign, download the SVG or PDF and print it at least 4 to 5 cm wide so people can scan from across the counter. Matte paper works better than glossy lamination, which reflects shop lighting. More layouts are on the printable QR templates page, and our guide on making a UPI QR code for your shop covers the whole setup.

Add your shop's own logo under Logo. Avoid logos of UPI apps or banks unless you have permission. Your own branding also makes a swapped code easier to spot.

Protect your shop from fake QR stickers

    • Check the code every day. Fraudsters paste their own code over a real one. Look for a sticker on top of your print.
    • Confirm in your own app. A customer's "payment successful" screen can be faked. Wait for your bank's SMS or app alert before you hand over goods.
    • Scanning is only for paying. No one needs to scan a code or enter a PIN to receive money. If someone asks you to, it is a scam. Read how to spot a fake QR code.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this UPI QR code generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no commission and no limit on codes. We never touch the payment. Check with your bank if you want to know about any charges or limits on your account.

Will it work with PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm?

Yes. The code uses the standard UPI link format, so any UPI app can scan it, whichever app or bank gave you the UPI ID.

Can I make a UPI QR code with a fixed amount?

Yes. Type the amount and it is filled in for the customer. Leave the field empty if the customer should enter the amount.

Can I make a UPI QR code without a payee name?

This tool asks for one because UPI apps expect a name in the payment link. Before paying, the app normally shows the customer the name registered with the UPI ID, so use your real account or shop name.

Can I add my shop logo to a UPI QR code?

Yes. Upload it in the Logo section and we switch error correction to level H so the code stays readable. Test with ₹1 before printing.

Does a UPI QR code expire?

No. This is a static code, so it keeps working as long as the UPI ID is active. If you close the account or change the ID, make and print a new code.

Is paying by UPI QR code safe?

Yes, when the customer checks the name their app shows before entering the PIN. The real risk is a fake sticker over a real code, so shops should check their codes and customers should check the name.

Do I need a merchant account?

No. Any UPI ID works. A merchant ID from your bank or payment app can add a sound box and reports, which helps busy shops.

Is it safe to enter my UPI ID here?

Yes. The code is made in your browser and your UPI ID is not uploaded. A UPI ID only lets people send you money. Never share your UPI PIN or OTP.
