Do you need to pay for QR codes?

For most small businesses, no. Paid plans sell dynamic codes, which pass each scan through the company's server. You get scan counts and can change the destination, but the code usually depends on that subscription.

You want toStatic (free here)Dynamic (paid)

Open WhatsApp, WiFi or directionsYesNot needed
Change a menu or price listYes, by updating the page or Drive file it links toYes
Count scansPartly: add UTM tags to a website linkYes
Keep working if you stop paying anyoneYesOften no

Consider a paid plan only if you need scan reports across many locations. Read static vs dynamic QR codes before you decide.

    Make people want to scan

A bare code gets ignored. Say what happens and what they gain:

    • Payments: "Scan to pay by any UPI app"
    • WhatsApp: "Scan to order on WhatsApp"
    • Reviews: "Enjoyed your visit? Scan to review us"
    • WiFi: "Free WiFi: scan to connect"

Type this into the frame under Frame, or use the printable templates for a ready stand, table tent or poster.

Keep your codes safe and working

    • Check payment codes daily. Fraudsters paste their own code over a real one. Confirm every payment in your own bank alert, not on the customer's screen.
    • Protect printed codes from wear. Dust, scratches and sun fade codes quickly on a counter. Use a stand or laminate with a matte finish.
    • Print large enough. Use at least 4 cm on a counter and more on walls. The size calculator gives the size for your scanning distance.
    • Link to pages you control. Then you can change the content without changing the print.

    Frequently asked questions

Which QR code is best for a small business in India?

A UPI QR code is usually the most useful first code, because it works with every UPI app. Add WhatsApp or Google review codes after that.

Are these QR codes free for business use?

Yes. You can print them on stands, bills, packaging and ads with no fee, no credit and no scan limit.

Will the codes stop working if I stop using PloraKit?

No. They are static, so your details are inside the code and nothing depends on our site.

Can I put my shop logo on the code?

Yes. Upload it in the Logo section, then test the printed code. We raise the error correction automatically.

How many QR codes should one shop use?

One or two at each spot. Label each clearly, because people hesitate when several similar codes sit side by side.

Can I see how many people scanned my code?

Not with a static code on its own. Add UTM tags to a website link and read the visits in your analytics, or count the orders or reviews that arrive.

Can I change a code after printing it?

A static code can't be changed. Link to a page or Drive file you can update, and the printed code stays useful.
