Printing tips for sharp, scannable results
- Print at actual size. "Fit to page" shrinks the layout and moves the cut lines.
- Use matte paper or card (200–300 gsm for table tents and stands). Glossy paper can reflect light into the camera.
- Laminate table cards in restaurants; they get wiped every day.
- Stickers: print on A4 or Letter sticker paper, or send the PDF to a print shop. Cut along the dotted guides.
- Business cards: print page 1, put the paper back in the printer and print page 2 on the reverse ("flip on long edge"). The back side is already mirrored so codes line up with their fronts. A print shop will get better results with the SVG of your code.
- Scan a test print with two different phones before you print a whole batch.
Need a more custom design?
Every template uses a clean, high-contrast QR code for reliable scanning. If you want a logo, a gradient or a frame on the code itself, design it in the QR code generator, download the PNG or SVG, and place it in Canva, Word or your design software. The size calculator tells you how large it needs to be.
Text in the templates supports every language and script, because the pages are drawn by your browser and saved as a high-resolution PDF.
Avery label sheets
Choose Avery labels to print your code on standard sticker sheets: L7160 (21 per A4), L7163 (14 per A4), L7651 (65 per A4), 5160 (30 per Letter) and 5163 (10 per Letter). Wide labels show the code on the left with your call to action and the first line of details on the right. Before printing on label paper, print one page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet in front of a window to check the alignment.
Need a different code on every label, such as product numbers or table links? Use the bulk generator and choose PDF label sheets.
Use the design you made in the generator
Templates use a plain, high-contrast code by default. Choose QR code design → My design from the QR generator to reuse the colors, dot style and logo you last used in the QR code generator on this device. Frames are left out because the template already has its own.
Which template for which job?
| Situation | Template |
|---|---|
| Guests ask for the WiFi password | WiFi table card |
| Customers need the menu at the table | Menu table tent |
| You want more Google reviews | Google review stand |
| Networking, sales | Business cards |
| Wedding invitations | Wedding RSVP card |
| Window, notice board, door | Poster |
| Products, packaging, inventory | Sticker sheet or Avery labels |
Printing at home vs. a print shop
Home printers are fine for table cards, labels and small runs. For more than about 50 copies, heavy card, lamination or large posters, send the PDF to a print shop and ask for "print at 100%, no scaling".
Frequently asked questions
Are the templates free?
Yes. All templates and PDF downloads are free, with no watermark and no sign-up.
Which paper sizes are supported?
A4 (210 × 297 mm) and US Letter (8.5 × 11 in). Choose under "Style & paper".
Is there a UPI payment stand for shops?
Yes. Choose UPI Scan & Pay stand, enter your UPI ID and payee name, and download a fold-in-half counter stand with your shop name and UPI ID printed below the code.
How do I fold the table tent?
Fold the page in half along the dashed line so both printed sides face outwards. The upper half is printed upside down on purpose, so after folding both sides read the right way up.
Why does the PDF look slightly soft when I zoom in a lot?
Pages are rendered at 300 dpi, the standard for print. It looks sharp on paper. For signs larger than A4, use the SVG from the generator.
Can I add my logo to a template?
The templates use a plain code for maximum reliability. For a logo, design the code in the generator and place it in your own layout.
Is my WiFi password sent to your server?
No. The PDF is created entirely in your browser.
