1. Who we are
PloraKit (https://plorakit.in) provides free QR code tools. Contact for privacy questions: plorakit@gmail.com.
2. Data you enter into the tools
Everything you type, upload or scan in our tools, including links, WiFi passwords, contact details, logos, CSV files and camera images, is processed only in your browser. It is not sent to our servers or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.
Edit links. When you use "Copy edit link", the code's content and design are written into the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server, so we don't receive it, but anyone you give the link to can read it (including a WiFi password). When you open an edit link, the generator loads it and removes it from the address bar.
3. Data stored on your device
Some tools save settings in your browser's local storage so they are there next time. This data stays on your device and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
| Key | Purpose |
|---|---|
| bp-design-v1 | Your last QR design (colors, styles, logo) |
| bp-theme | Light or dark mode |
| bp-consent | Your cookie choice |
| bp-scan-history, bp-scan-history-on | Scanner history (optional, last 50 scans) |
| bp-recent-v1, bp-recent-on | Recent codes in the generator (optional, last 20 codes you downloaded, copied or shared) |
| bp-mystyles | Styles you saved under "My styles" |
| bp-feedback | Your answer to "Was this page helpful?" per page |
The site also uses a service worker to store the website's own files for offline use.
4. Cookies and analytics
What we measure. To learn which tools help people, we count anonymous events such as "a WiFi code was downloaded as PNG", "a template PDF was created" or "the search was used". These events contain only the kind of action, the code type, the file format or the template name. They never contain what you typed into a code (links, passwords, names, numbers) or any file you uploaded. When we use cookieless analytics (Plausible), no cookie is set and no consent banner is needed; Google Analytics loads only if you accept it in the cookie banner.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used, but only if you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. Without your consent no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Analytics data is processed by Google with IP anonymization. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
5. Advertising
We may show ads in the future (for example Google AdSense). If we do, ad cookies will only be used with your consent where the law requires it, and this policy will be updated before ads go live, including a list of the providers involved.
6. Affiliate links
Some links to print products are affiliate links. If you buy through them, the shop may tell us a sale happened so we earn a commission. We don't receive your personal details.
7. Email
If you email us or join the Pro waitlist, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply or to send the single announcement you asked for. We don't sell or share email addresses.
8. Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested, time) for security and to keep the site running. These logs never contain anything you entered into a tool.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA) you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and you can object to processing. Since the tools don't collect your inputs, this usually only concerns emails you sent us. Write to plorakit@gmail.com.
10. Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest update at the top.
